CAS ACTIVITY:  Bingo at La Manuelita

Apreciados padres de familia, estudiantes y profesores:

El grupo de estudiantes de  Yr. 12  en sus actividades de CAS, el cual es un  Programa de Bachillerato Internacional dedicado al trabajo con comunidades vulnerables, queremos agradecerles muy especialmente por su gran ayuda al comprarnos las boletas para el bingo que se realizó  el pasado 16 de Mayo para La Fundación La Manuelita.

Ayer estuvimos en Cajicá y fue muy grato recibir abrazos y manifestaciones de agradecimiento por la contribución que la familia CGB hizo con el único anhelo de mejorar las condiciones de  convivencia de lo abuelos. En nombre de todos ellos, de mis estudiantes y en el mio propio reitero mi agradecimiento. Una sonrisa de los abuelos, un abrazo de ellos y todo el cariño de las personas que trabajan en  La Fundación son  realmente los mejores regalos que podemos recibir quienes tenemos la fortuna de compartir con ellos dos horas a la semana.

Por otra parte , el valor total del dinero recolectado fueron $8.000.000  de pesos de los cuales nosotros como colegio logramos recolectar $2.500.000, pues, nos entregaron 125 boletas. Se vendieron todas las que imprimieron y el dinero será destinado a comprar implementos  de primera necesidad para los abuelos.

Dear Parents, students and teachers,

A group of Yr. 12 students would like to thank you very specially for your valuable collaboration in buying tickets for the bingo that was held last May 16th on behalf of La Manuelita Foundation as part of the CAS activities, which is an International Baccaulaureate Programme dedicated to working with vulnerable communities.
 

Yesterday we were in Cajicá and it was very gratifying to receive the hugs and expressions of gratitude for the contribution that the CGB family made with the sole desire of improving the living conditions of these elderly.  On behalf of all of them, of my students and myself I would like to reiterate our thanks.  The smiles on the faces of these grandparents, a hug from them, the affection of the people working at the Foundation are the best gifts that those of us who share a couple of hours a week with them can receive.

On the other hand, the total amount of money collected was $8,000,000 pesos of which we as a school collected $2,500,000 since they had given us 125 tickets.  All of them were sold and the money will be used to buy articles these elderly folks need.
