On Sunday 5th June 2005 the CGB Rugby Club Dinner and Awards Ceremony took place at “Club Campestre El Rancho”. The setting and venue was perfect for the occasion and it was a very successful evening. It was the first event of its kind in the country and was a good promotion for the sport and indeed for CGB.

Guest speakers included Mr Luis Manuel Salazar (Bogotá Rugby League President), Mr Daniel De Castro (Seleccion Colombia de Rugby) and Mr Julian Sanclemente (Seleccion Colombia de Rugby Captain).

Every player received a statue of a rugby player and a “Player Profile” folder of the entire team.

On the 4th June 2005, the CGB Rugby Club played an exhibition match for the Bogotá Mens' and Womens' Rugby Clubs. It was the first ever youth rugby match in the capital, and the CGB teams were a big hit on the day.
