THE CGB MUN Junior
Our CGB MUN junior model is an internal preparation for students from Year 7 to Year 11; we work towards educating all our delegates regarding the workings of a Model United Nations and fully engaging them in meaningful discussion in such important topics which not only occur but shape our future world. The delegates participating in our model are the next aspiring presidents and CEOs, and what they do in their youth, and how they educate and inform themselves is an essential requirement for their success. We believe that is what makes Model United Nations’s so important, if the delegates can, to their fullest capability, evaluate countries opinions diplomatically, tackle difficult issues which require determination and lengthy discussion to reach compromise, and are able to do this all while still enjoying and learning from the enriching experience, we believe we have helped create a future global leader.
In this model, our students will take on the role of a country, and represent them to their fullest extent. They will follow their foreign policy and must be well versed in all of its economic, domestic, cultural, and international affairs. During the three days, they will partake in preparation workshops, as well as debates and discussion with other students each representing a different country and therefore a different global perspective and opinion, on their assigned topics per commission. They will do this in hopes of drafting a working paper which will be accepted by the commission as their resolution to the topic. It is an amazing simulation experience which has been present throughout global schools and universities for years. We are extremely happy to be able to prepare for future Model United Nations, not only in other schools in Bogota but also a National and International level.
