Some words of the IB Coordinator, Ms Monica Woodward, for our Y13 students:
Good morning,
I arrived at this school nearly 5 years ago when the current Y13 were in Y9. What struck me from them was their kindness, their enthusiasm and I was so impressed by their unique talents. Over the last 5 years, I have seen you grow and mature. Of course, at this age it’s not easy to have your future paths clear, I was one of them myself and it took me a while to find my way and discover my passion. But I know that all of you will get there too.
I know what a challenge the IB has been for you… you’ve invested such time and effort to get here and I admire your determination even when at times it’s been a stressful journey … You’re so nearly there! After three weeks of exams, you will be able to look back and feel very proud of your achievements. You know that the skills that you have established through this intense programme will open a plethora of opportunities as you embark on your university life.
And what a wonderful range of universities and careers you have ahead of you…
I would like to wish you all the very best in your exams, we are all very much looking forward to you becoming our alumni and returning to share your experiences with us.
Good luck!
We are incredibly proud of our senior class – which to date have been accepted to 74 universities (and counting) around the world on four different continents.
